Launched at the Newcastle Ocean Baths ahead of our 2026 festival weekend, our Read the Room project is a series of monthly reading parties held in venues across Newcastle.

Enjoy a relaxed afternoon of reading, guided conversation and community connection. Bring your current book, discover new favourites, and enjoy the atmosphere among fellow readers.

Solo readers are particularly welcome!

Registration is free, but required to secure your seat. Refreshments will be available to purchase at each venue.
