Patrons are like-minded supporters who believe in the power of literature and want to make a lasting impact on the cultural life of Newcastle and the Hunter region.
By joining the Patrons Program, you’ll be supporting the festival’s sustainability by helping us:

As a patron, you have the chance to get an insider’s experience of the festival including:
- Exclusive Patrons’ events during the Festival weekend with leading guest authors
- VIP access to pre-opening night drinks with guest speakers and writers + tickets to opening night.
- Through the year, invitations to exclusive Patrons events with visiting guest writers.
The investment for this personal Newcastle Writer’s Festival experience is a tax-deductible donation of $1,000 a year (plus a non-deductible $100 membership fee). There is no upper limit on patronage and donations above $1000 can also be made by adding the amount you are providing at checkout.
