Dan Cox
Born in Sydney and bred in Newcastle, Dan Cox started his journalism career delivering newspapers as a teenager. He grew up in a very medical family but chose to study communications and marketing. Since then he’s worked in marketing and public relations for a Hunter-based charity, and for nearly two decades he was a broadcast journalist with the ABC, most recently hosting Breakfast on ABC Newcastle for six years. Away from work he’s a dog lover, rampant reader, intrepid traveller, event MC, wedding singer and cocktail maker. And he’s obsessed with buying secondhand vinyl records.
Dan is a Newcastle Writers Festival board member.
