UPDATE 14 MARCH 2020
Registration and training for volunteers has been cancelled for this year, as a result of the cancellation of the Newcaste Writers Festival 2020. Please note that none of the planned training sessions will take place, and no registrations will be processed.
NWF is a non-profit organisation run by a small team on grants and sponsorships. Our volunteers play a key role in the success of the festival. Without volunteers to help us, the festival couldn’t run. We’ve been very fortunate to have wonderful volunteers since the first festival in 2013, and every year brings new people and reliable returnees.
The health and safety of our writers, audiences and volunteers are our priority.
Are you interested in offering some of your time to help present a fantastic Festival? We are seeking people to join our dedicated team of friendly volunteers. Each year, 160 volunteers support the program in a range of roles – from answering questions about the program to checking tickets. We couldn’t do it without you. Registrations close on March 15th. (Please note that volunteers registering after 26th February, the date for return of shift preferences, will have a reduced choice of shift times.) There are instructions on how to register at the end of the Volunteer Info Sheet, and if you have any problems registering, please email the Volunteer Coordinator, Sheree Kable, at firstname.lastname@example.org
You should receive a confirmation of your registration shortly after submission, and an email from the Volunteer Coordinator within three days. If this doesn’t happen, please email the Coordinator at the above address.
