Each year our volunteer team consists of around 160 people, who give their time and effort to help make Newcastle’s festival the best it can be. They are interesting, inspiring, and a great group of people to be around, with a love of books, reading, and in many cases, writing as well. Many have made good friends through the team.
There are a number of different roles volunteers can fill, which are outlined in the information sheet below. All volunteers will have access to our Volunteer Handbook, and new volunteers also attend a Volunteer Orientation.
Before you register, please read the information sheet below on being a volunteer this year. It will not only give you an idea of what is involved in being an NWF volunteer, it will also help you make sure you have your details at hand as you fill out the form.
