Biography

Margaret Simons is an award-winning freelance journalist and author. She is also the director of the Centre for Advancing Journalism and coordinator of the new Masters in Journalism at the University of Melbourne. She has published 13 books and numerous articles and essays. Simons co-wrote the biography of former Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser. She also wrote an unauthorised biography of mass media proprietor Kerry Stokes (chairman of the Seven Network). Her most recent work is a biography of politician Penny Wong.
