Kel Butler is an enthusiastic, impassioned newcomer to the world of writing, having given in to her love of words after spending the majority of her professional life in the world of film and television production and distribution, where she worked hard to help others tell their stories and make them come alive. Kel met co-host and author, Pamela Cook, through their mutual support of the not-for-profit organisation Room to Read. From there a deep friendship formed that led to the creation of the Writes4Women podcast, where Kel got her first taste of the medium that would become her true love – podcasting. Shortly after, Pam and Kel were granted funding to record writing festivals in regional NSW and launched the Writes4Festivals podcast. Since then Kel has been trained by the likes of Kate Montague from Audiocraft and Miles Martignoni of Heaps Good Media, and has launched her own podcasting business Listen Up Podcasting where she makes podcasts for a positive world with a village of skilled audio storytellers.
