James Bennett


James Bennett is an historian at the University of Newcastle and is a graduate of the University of Melbourne. His research interests include transnational and comparative histories (with a focus on Australia and New Zealand), labour history, medicine and sexuality, World War I, and history through film. His most recent publication in the Cambridge journal Medical History was concerned with the medicalisation and demedicalisation of homosexuality in the 1970s, with particular reference to the practice of aversion therapy.
