Radical Newcastle: A History Walk

Join this two-hour walking tour through Newcastle’s Civic precinct – from Newcastle Museum to Newcastle Library – to uncover some of the city’s radical histories. Explore how Worimi fishing stories, trailblazing feminist leadership, queer criminology, women’s labour rights, anti-war and environmental protest, creative monuments and DIY publishing have shaped Newcastle’s political and cultural life.

With Jude Conway, Helen Cummings, Nancy Cushing, Justin Ellis, Keri Glastonbury, Effie Karageorgos, Phoebe McIlwraith, and Nick Orr.

Presented in partnership with Uni of Newcastle.
