Choice and Circumstance: Bri Lee and Lucy Nelson

For the women in Lucy Nelson’s debut book Wait Here, childlessness is a joy, a conundrum, a wound. The male protagonist in Bri Lee’s novel Seed grapples with the ethical dilemma of parenthood amid the climate emergency. Lucy and Bri speak to Maddison Connaughton about the ways fiction creates space for the most intimate questions about the futures we imagine.
