Read the Room

Settle in under the open sky for the launch of the Festival’s Read the Room project, a series of reading parties to be held in venues across Newcastle in 2026. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon of reading, conversation and community. Bring your current book, discover new favourites, and enjoy the atmosphere among fellow readers.

Bring a book, a cushion, and leave your phone in your bag on silent. This event will not proceed in bad weather. Hosted by Rosemarie Milsom.
