BottomZohra Aly lives in Sydney on Dharug land. She worked as a hospital pharmacist for several years before writing freelance for Sydney Morning Herald, Sunday Life, MiNDFOOD and Helix. Her essays and short fiction have appeared in Sydney Review of Books, Meanjin and Island as well as Giramondo’s “Second City Essays from Western Sydney”, the UTS Writer’s Anthology ”Empty Sky” and WestWords anthology ”Second Case”. She has appeared at Writing NSW’s Boundless Festivals, the South Coast Writers Festival, WestWords and the Australian Muslim Writers Festival as a curator and panel chair for the past few years. Currently, she is working on a collection of essays and attempting to revive her novel.
