BottomPoet Robert Adamson (17 May 1943 to 16 December 2022) produced 21 books of poetry and three books of prose. In the 1970s and 80s he edited New Poetry magazine, and established Paper Bark Press in 1986 with his partner, photographer Juno Gemes. He was awarded the Christopher Brennan Prize for lifetime achievement, the Patrick White Award, The Age Book of the Year Award, and was the inaugural CAL Chair of Poetry at UTS. His most recent book, Reaching Light: Selected Poems, was published by Flood Editions in 2020.
