Katherine McLean is Director of Hunter Writers’ Centre, drawing on more than 20 years in arts leadership, community cultural development, and storytelling to support writers and creative communities.
BottomKatherine McLean is the Director of Hunter Writers’ Centre and brings two decades of arts leadership in theatre, puppetry, community cultural development, and creative practice across artforms. She has held senior and executive roles across Australia, including CEO positions at CuriousWorks and Barking Gecko Theatre Company. She was part of the core team that established the Abbotsford Convent as an arts, culture and education precinct.
Katherine has served on state and national boards and advisory panels across the arts sector. She brings strategic and facilitation expertise to her work at Hunter Writers’ Centre, supporting the diverse writers, stories and storytellers of the Hunter region.
