Kate Senior is an anthropologist, with an interest in place, memory, memorials, and archives. She is also a (very new) resident of Stockton and has loved exploring its history and monuments. Kate’s recent paper, co-authored with Duncan McDuie-Ra, is entitled Vibrant Memory Scapes: Cncountering memorials on unstable ground. It explores Stockton’s memorials; whether they be sanctioned memorials, DIY memorials, or unintentional memorials caused by a constantly shifting landscape. Kate is a professor at the University of Newcastle.
