Alistair Rolls


Alistair is Professor of French at the University of Newcastle, Australia. He is the author of five monographs on textual analysis, including AGATHA CHRISTIE AND NEW DIRECTIONS IN READING DETECTIVE FICTION (Routledge, 2022), and editor of thirteen edited volumes, most recently the CAMBRIDGE COMPANION TO WORLD CRIME FICTION (Cambridge University Press, 2022) with Jesper Gulddal and Stewart King, and REMEMBERING PARIS IN TEXT AND FILM (Intellect/University of Chicago Press, 2021) with Marguerite Johnson.
