Steve Armstrong


Steve Armstrong lives in Newcastle where he runs a practice as a counsellor/coach, when he’s not writing. He won the Bruce Dawe Poetry Prize 2015, and has shortlisted for the Ron Pretty Poetry Prize; Australian Catholic University Poetry Prize; and Newcastle Poetry Prize. His poems are in Notes for Translators; Australian Love Poems; A Slow Combusting Hymn: Poetry from and about Newcastle and the Hunter Region and Metamorphic: 21st Century Poets Respond to Ovid. His first poetry collection will be published by University of Western Australia Press in 2018.
