Rocco Fazzari is a graduate of the South Australian School of Art. His work has featured in Fairfax mastheads for more over 28 years as well as Rolling Stone magazine and various other publications.
He works in many mediums and is as comfortable with a digital stylus as he is with a stick of charcoal. His observational digital drawings often feature studies of fellow passengers on trains, buses or everyday scenes. Using simple quick fluent lines he enjoys the challenge of turning the prosaic into strong eye-catching graphic art works that find a life in the cyber world via social media.
Either created on a tablet or smart phone, his aim is to wrangle tactile warmth out of them. As a dedicated painter who exhibits regularly, he is inspired by Sydney’s lush eastern suburbs and its fluorescent light. He is represented by Maunsell Wickes.
