Biography

Kathryn Heyman is the author of six novels, the latest of which is Storm and Grace. She has won an Arts Council of England Writers Award, the Wingate and the Southern Arts Awards in the UK, and has been nominated for the Orange Prize, the Scottish Writer of the Year Award, the Edinburgh Fringe Critic’s Awards, the Kibble Prize, and the West Australian Premier’s Book Awards. As well as writing for the stage, she was for many years a regular writer of radio dramas for the BBC.  Kathryn is the director of the Australian Writers Mentoring Program and Conjoint Professor in English and Humanities at the University of Newcastle. She is the recipient of the Copyright Agency’s 2018 Author Fellowship.
