Conor McCarthy


Conor McCarthy is the author of three books and a number of essays on medieval literature and contemporary Irish poetry. His most recent book, Seamus Heaney and Medieval Poetry, is a discussion of the Nobel Prize-winner’s translations and adaptations from medieval literature. His previous books were a study of medieval marriage, and a collection of source materials (in English translation) relating to love, sexuality, and marriage in medieval England. Born and raised in Ireland, he now lives in Newcastle, where he works for a fundraising consultancy.
