David Musgrave is a poet, publisher, novelist and critic who lectures in creative writing at the University of Newcastle. His poetry has received many awards in Australia, including the Newcastle Poetry Prize twice, and has been widely anthologised in Australia and overseas. He has published five collections of poetry and an audio CD of his work. In 2011 his novel Glissando was shortlisted for the Prime Minister's Award for Fiction and his collection Phantom Limb was awarded the Grace Leven Prize for poetry. He is also a board member of Australian Poetry Limited, an organisation which aims to increase our engagement with Australian poets and poetry.
